TENACITY HAS LONG BEEN THE LIFE FORCE OF TOTTENHAM

Since the concept of building the THE NEW CHIEFTAINS tribe began, I have continued to meet special individuals who I instinctively recognise have the character of ‘A New Chieftain’. In order to capture them all and preserve the character and amazing stories, I am curating them into chapters.

I am from Tottenham. I have been in the area for many years and feel a strong connection; I enjoy both its innate character, the energy of my neighbours, and also watching the way the area is developing. Tottenham has an absolutely unique mix of people, energy, talent, creativity and, obviously, NEW CHIEFTAINS. Conscious of the way in which it's reputation impacts on perceptions of Tottenham, I have always felt that those people who are able to realise successful lives here do so with a superhuman dose of tenacity. So it is very meaningful to be able to shine a light on my peers who are thriving and transforming lives around them.

THE TENACITY OF TOTTENHAM was launched and featured as part of www.tottenhamcreates.com and was also supported by Red Bull. The exhibition was hosted at the Tottenham Creates hub, a space that showcased & celebrated the work of local artists & creatives.

Red Bull's role in curating the Tottenham Creates Hub was to give wings to people & ideas, who are already doing great things in Tottenham, providing a platform for local businesses, creatives & innovators.
